A Truer Ride
Unless you’ve had your tires trued and balanced, you can’t imagine how well your truck can ride. This is a lost art that will change the way your vehicle handles, dramatically improve the character of the ride, and increase the life of the tire.
Tire truing is a process which renders the tire absolutely round by slowly spinning the tire in its normal position while shaving the high spots with a high-speed razor mechanism. The result is an equal distance from the centerline of the axle, assuring the smoothest ride possible.Tire truing maximizes tire mileage, improves handling and reduces road noise.
A Balancing Act
The traditional method of balancing uses lead weights to spin-balance the tire, wheel, hub and drum assembly while the tire is on the truck. At GSFA we offer another option -- a balancing agent called Equal®. This is added to the tire and it redistributes itself every time you start and stop your vehicle. Equal maintains balance for the lifetime of the tire.
